Lynsey loves making jewelry and she loves people.

She is a professional jewelry artist with over eleven years of experience, specializing in metal fabrication, casting and beading with an emphasis on recycled sterling silver.

She strives to design beautiful and unusual art jewelry with interesting shapes and stories that push the boundaries of jewelry structure. She loves to make old things new and exciting and frequently uses antiques in her pieces, especially antique silverware and brooches.  She is inspired by tattoo art, Asian furniture and artwork,  and the beauty in nature.  She believes that jewelry has been used across time and culture to express the identity of the wearer. One of her favorite things in the whole world is when a person connects with her unique art and is able to use her pieces to express who they are to the world.

Throughout her adventure as an artist, she opened a four month pop up art studio to highlight local arts and crafts and to provide the community with hands on access to art and art classes. She has taught various disciplines in jewelry work in multiple class settings and facilitated classes from her studio in other genres including local wood and leather workers. For her work on the pop up art studio, she was approached by the Clackamas County Arts Alliance to be on the Advisory Board, was appointed in 2015 and still serves.  She received a wonderful Get Ready Grant from CERF+ and created a video to help other metal artists be safer in their shops.  Lynsey also has extensive experience mentoring high school and college age youth. Lynsey sees art as a powerful force for good that should be a part of every community and wants to help it thrive in her town of Molalla.

Her formal education includes a BA in Communications from George Fox University and extended study at the Oregon College of Arts and Crafts for advanced casting and mold making and Portland Community College for casting and fabrication for jewelry.
